Sorry guys, I’ve been MIA for a while, with my finals coming up, writing tests and all. Its been really tedious.
As busy as i was on Grammy night though, i couldn’t just help but admire Kendrick Lamar’s amazing performance coupled with bagging home 5 Grammies, and as much of a huge appetite I have for K.Dot’s music as it already is, it has multiplied tremendously.
My favorite rapper though is J. Cole, arguably one of the best rappers in the world and probably just behind Kendrick and Eminem lyrically..(I was quite disappointed that he didn’t get any Grammy).
So, to put it lightly, i almost passed out when i discovered rumors of a J. Cole and Kendrick collab mixtape.
This is probably going to be the best thing that’d happen to rap this year (except of course if Pac comes back).
Truth is, rumours have been going round about a collab between these two since 2011, but things got real when the two of them decided to play on each other’s beats (J.cole murdering K. Dot’s ‘alright’ and K. completely annihilating J. Cole’s ‘a tale of two citiez’) and labelled both tracks ‘Black Friday’ late last year. Things got even the more real when K. Dot’s sister did this
Now we wait.
